Guide
A TikTok scraper is a tool that collects public TikTok data, such as videos, profiles, hashtags and comments, and returns it as structured records. The coverage differs a lot between tools.
The one thing a buyer must know: some tools that carry the TikTok name only cover discovery or shop results, not videos or profiles. Match the endpoint to your question before you compare prices.
Our data lists five vendors with TikTok tooling: Decodo, Crawlbase, SerpApi, Apify and Browse AI.
Common legitimate uses are trend tracking, creator research, ad and content analysis and shop price checks, and for each one you should collect only the fields you need. A trend report needs hashtags, captions, play counts and dates. Creator research needs profile fields and recent video stats. Comment analysis for sentiment needs comment text, but comments are written by individuals, so keep them anonymous where you can and delete them when the project ends.
For videos and profiles, start with Apify's TikTok Scraper actor, listed as Apify-made, or with Crawlbase and Decodo, which both list TikTok in their scraper APIs.
Decodo's Web Scraping API has TikTok as a pre-made target, from $19/mo, with a free plan. Crawlbase lists a TikTok scraper inside its Crawling API, from $149/mo. Browse AI has a no-code robot template for TikTok videos, a fit for people who want a spreadsheet and no code.
SerpApi is the exception: its TikTok Discover and Shop APIs have no profile or video endpoint in our notes, so do not pick it for a creator list.
An Apify TikTok scraper is an actor you run on Apify's platform, and Apify bills platform usage plus per-actor pricing, so the real cost depends on what you collect.
A TikTok comments scraper is usually a separate actor, because comments need extra requests per video. Our notes do not confirm comment output for every vendor, so open the actor's page and read its sample before you start. Run it on three videos with different comment counts and check whether replies and timestamps are included.
You can try Apify on its free monthly platform credit. Note also that a TikTok scraper GitHub project or a TikTok scraper API from a small developer can break whenever the app changes, so look at update dates.
Profile, follower and hashtag tools each answer a different question, and a TikTok data scraper rarely does all three well.
A profile scraper returns bio, follower count, likes and recent videos. It suits creator research and brand checks. Confirm the fields on a sample of five accounts.
A follower count is a profile field. A list of who follows an account is a different and more sensitive dataset about individuals, and our data does not confirm that any listed vendor offers it. Be careful with tools that promise it.
Hashtag and trend tracking works best as frequent small runs, for example each morning, so you see what moves. Store each run with its date and country, because trends differ by region and the same hashtag can look quiet in one market and busy in another. A TikTok hashtag scraper that cannot set a region will blur that signal.
Partly: SerpApi lists a TikTok Shop API, which returns shop results, but our notes do not show full product or seller extraction at other vendors.
A TikTok shop scraper is useful for price and product-trend checks. Test on a handful of products first and see whether prices, sellers and sales counts are included. SerpApi is billed per search, so the cost per product depends on how many searches you need. See the SerpApi review for its pricing model.
For Discover results, the same logic applies: a Discover API returns what TikTok surfaces for a query, which is useful for topic research but is not a list of every video on a topic. If you need full video lists with captions and counts, go back to the video scrapers above and treat Shop and Discover as a complement.
A TikTok scraper API fits developers, a no-code robot fits analysts, and a TikTok scraper from GitHub fits experiments. The right pick depends on who maintains the pipeline.
With an API such as Decodo's or Crawlbase's, you call an endpoint and get fields back, and the vendor deals with blocks. With Browse AI's video template you point, click and schedule, then export to a sheet. With a GitHub project you own everything: proxies, session handling and breakage whenever TikTok changes its app or web page.
Trend work shows the difference. A daily job collecting videos under a hashtag runs for months on a maintained tool, while an open-source script may need a fix each time the page changes. Count the hours of maintenance when you compare monthly prices, and check our residential vs datacenter proxies guide if you plan to run your own proxies.
Collecting public data is lawful in many places, but TikTok's terms, privacy laws and copyright still apply, and they differ by country.
Scrapers return video metadata and links. Downloading or republishing videos is a copyright and terms question, and profile data about individuals raises privacy duties. Keep to public data and ask a lawyer before using it commercially.
Run 100 videos from your real queries through two tools and divide each bill by the number of complete records.
Pick one hashtag, one creator and one search term, and run the same three jobs on every tool you test, so the results are comparable. Start with Decodo or Apify for videos and profiles, since both have free options, and add Browse AI if you want no code. Look at fields (caption, hashtags, play and like counts, author, URL), failures per 100 and the cost per 1,000 videos. Compare plans in our scraping API ranking before you scale.
